Reds Unveil New Away Strip
Statement on LiverpoolFC.tv: Liverpool FC are delighted to unveil their brand new fantastic Warrior state-of-the-art away strip for the 2012-13 season.
Following Warrior's design direction of modern tradition
, the new kit is inspired by Liverpool's away kit from 1900-1906 which featured the yoke detail in recognition of sailors and the huge influence of the docks on the city at the time.
Liverpool Sack Kenny Dalglish
A statement on the clubs website read: "FENWAY SPORTS GROUP AND LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB PART COMPANY WITH MANAGER KENNY DALGLISH". The announcement was met with mixed emotions from fans yet the overall mood was one of great sadness for the man that was loved by all. King Kenny in his typical humble self reacted to his dismissal with the utmost respect and selflessness and only had good things to say about the way FSG handled the situation. Liverpool will now start searching for a new manager as well as continuing their search for a new director of football that can move the club forward. Fans have been left in a state of anxiety over the direction the club is going and it is up to the owners to extinguish these fears and shows us that they know the way forward.
Principal Owner John Henry had this to say: "Kenny will always be more than a championship winning manager, more than a championship winning star player. He is in many ways the heart and soul of the club. He personifies everything that is good about Liverpool Football Club. He has always put the Club and its supporters first. Kenny will always be a part of the family at Anfield.
"Our job now is to identify and recruit the right person to take this Club forward and build on the strong foundations put in place during the last 18 months."
Kenny then signed off as Liverpool manager by posting this comment on his twitter page: "Privileged and honoured to be manager of our club. Thank you for all your support." One thing for sure after all this is that Kenny Dalglish will always be in the hearts of all Liverpool fans. What he has achieved for us both on and off the field and the unique relationship he has with the fans will ensure that his legendary status will never be diminished. Kenny is an integral part of this historic club and we hope to see him back in the thick of the club one day soon no matter what position he takes up. King Kenny will truly Never Walk Alone.
